Wim de Mooij holds a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and a post graduate degree in Business Telecommunications from Delft University of Technology. He has been working in the telecommunications industry since 1981. Wim started his career with several roles within the Dutch defence organization. In 1990 he joined PA Consulting Group as senior consultant focusing on the mobile industry. As consultant Wim supported Libertel (later re-branded to Vodafone Netherlands ) during it's initial year of operations by leading several key projects, including the commercial introduction of new products and services. In 1996 he joined Telfort (a joint venture of Dutch Railways and British Telecom) as voice portfolio manager reporting to the marketing director. Subsequently he took the role of head of products and services within Telfort. Wim joined France Telecom in 1999. Until 2003 he had several local product marketing roles within Dutchtone, subsequently re-branded Orange Netherlands . Wim joined Orange corporate in 2003 in a global product manager role. Currently Wim is a member of the international consumer marketing team. He reports to the VP Mobile Offer in Orange Personal Line of Business. He currently focuses on mobile broadband and enablers. Wim is an active member of the UMTS forum working group on Mobile TV.
